However, an easy way to cut and paste video clips in the timeline is to place your cursor at the input point of the video clip and press the 'i' key (i is for input) and then place your cursor at the output point and press 'o' (o is for output). A yellow box will outline the range between the input point and the output point. You can Edit/Copy or Edit/Cut the range in the yellow box and Edit/Paste it anywhere in the timeline or into a newly created project.
